Here's the progress on my Styrker so far. Trumpeter 1:35 kit with their own photoetch detail set, Voyager wheels, AFV Club RWS.

Bingo Rob! If I can survive the 2A6 slat, I'll try a Stryker slat set - I bet it won't be too long before one comes out for the MGS kit once it arrives.
Andy - check my opening sentence No real conversion set per se, just details to fix up the Trumpeter weaknesses like RWS, strut covers, wheels. Changing the driver's thermal viewer to the center position too.

Slowly adding to it - but speeding up now to try to get 'er done in time! These are all things that I think should be added for an accurate in-service Stryker.
Added the plates to the rear hatch:
Notched the rear upper corner (hi-lighted by sharpie) before adding the lift lug - Trump got this wrong.
Perforated strut guards from additional Trumpeter p.e. set:
Change to DVE - I was ready to start scratchbuilding it when I got AFV Club's MGS and realized the DVE was included and not used for the MGS version - whew!:
Added the serial # plate:
Added a strip of .030" x .080" styrene to the side bins so at least I can squeeze a jerrycan in them:
Just added a few more things today - headlight clusters, wire cutters and a few other details:
My thoughts at this time - it takes a lot of work to bring the Trumpeter kit to (my) acceptable level of accuracy and detail. Sure it's cheaper, but for my money - the AFV Club kit is the way to go...

Hi Seb, I'm using Trumpeters' own detail set (seen at Squadron here
Comes with some nice fine brass tube and styrene rod - for the side bins, but I'm not bothering on this build.

Looking good so far! How did you make the discs/bolts for the plates you added to the rear hatch?

Hi Thomas,
I have an old punch and die set - from Verlinden I think - to punch out the disk from .010" styrene, and the bolt is 'slami sliced' Plastruct hex rod - .030" I think it was.
Cheers,
Jim
