Can anyone recommend a good 1/35 T-26 kit?

Specifically I'm looking for the single turret and I can't seem to find one. I thought maybe Zveda but they don't seem to make one that I can find on any websites.

I can't believe there isnt a good kit of this very important tank.

Thanks in advance.

supposedly Mirage makes one, but i have never actually seen one in person.

i'd love to have a decent kit of this tank myself.

Yea, I've seen this one, but this one is no good for me. See, I'm looking for the older single turret T26 ala Spanish Civil War.

Anyone? Help.

Maybe you could use this one, it's the flame thrower one, should not be too much trouble to convert it back to a normal one.

I have the mirage kit.
As soon as my camera and PC start working I'll post some pics of the sprues, tracks and decals.

I have the Maquette T-26-T kit (howitzer gunned). It is the Zvezda kit inside with a new resin turret and white metal gun. The Zvezda kit is also boxed by Italeri as well: http://www.kitreview.com/reviews/t26cs_1.htm

Zvezda use to make single turret T-26, but it was long time ago. Sometimes you can find same kit packaged by Italery on e-bay. Long time OOP too. Needs some kit-bashing and detailing though.
Kits from Mirage or RPM are Polish versions of that tank.
I am planning to build one myself in near future by combining the hull from two-turret T-26 from Zvezda and the turret from BT-5. For now I am just collecting info and reff-s.

Hey there,

I have an RPM T-26 that I got with a couple of resin turrets....basically two kits in a box...which means I have a spare turret system. If you are in need of the kit's turret, you can have it.

By the way, here's one you may be interested in (even though it's a Mirage, with some TLC, it'll build up reasonably decent): http://cgi.ebay.com/1-35-T-26-wz-37-BY-MIRAGE-HOBBY-KIT-35308-MINT_W0QQitemZ220273534163QQihZ012QQcategoryZ2588QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

The other option is to query Dave or Sabot for theirs, and I can still send you a turret. May work.

Let me know.

tylusfaust,
Yes, Zvezda did make a T-26 kit back in the 1990's (model #3538). I couldn't find it on E-bay, although the flamethrower variant is on E-bay right now. Depending on what's in the box, you could convert it to the single-turreted version. Be advised, that the tracks don't fit well and you'll probably have to aftermarket.
I just found one here: http://www.udisco.com/hobbies/ for about US$20. Hope that helps.
Regards,
Georg

The Zvezda/Italeri T-26 is the one to look for, the others seem to be descended from the Spojnia Polish 7-TP of the late 80s and not only retain a lot of 7-TP DNA (especially the road wheels) but also generally end up with you doing a lot of cutting and sanding of unwanted parts of the mouldings. Needless to say, the Zvezda kit is the hardest to find.

The rubber band tracks no matter which one you get are universally bad.
