I’m not too interested in the monotone Russian green scheme and I know the PT-76 was used by a bunch of different countries at one time or another – I already have references for the Syrian 3 ton vehicle but does anyone else have any other “unusual” references for this vehicle?

Thanks!

How about a tree-tone Finnish scheme?
Here's a walkaround of one: http://www.pienoismallit.net/galleria/referenssi_3924/

If you choose to make it Finnish, there's a few things to watch out, as according to the conversations on the Finnish site the walkaround is on, the recent Trumpeter kit (presuming you're going to build that one, as it's probably the best of the subject so far) needs at least some slight mods to make an FDF vehicle.
The differences mentioned were:
- longer nosed, higher hull
- higher fuel capacity (additional rear tank)

The last is probably an internal tank, as my references don't show any external tanks fitted (apart from the two small oil drums in one photo, which, according to the caption, were rarely used because the prevented the turret from rotating fully), and I the think the upper rear hull looks similar to the photos in my reference book ("Finnish armored vehicles" by Esa Muikku & Jukka Purhonen).
I'm no expert on PT-76, so please correct me if I'm talking nonsense here.

On the aftermarket department, Master Club makes an indi-track & drive sprocket set and resin wheels. http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/reviews/vehicles/masterclub/mc135047cl.html
According to the review, they are originally designed for the Eastern Express kit(s), but should fit to Trumpeter offering without any signifant effort.
For markings, the recent Echelon T-72 decal sheet can be used to make just about any modern Finnish vehicle. Although there are other options as well (Wiking-decals' sheets come to my mind), I think the echelon one is by far the easiest to get hold of.

Winter Camo - not super unusual for Russia but not mono-green.

OK - winter camo out.

You should be able to come up w/ something - about 20-30 countries use/used the PT.

What is written beside the PT-76s and the Type 63? I can't make it out.

There were some crazy Croatian schemes in the 90s war but colour pics aren't very common, I'm afraid.

It's not readable.
It's in russian - which by itself isn't a problem - but the orig. jpg is same size as this image.
