3ID had 3 attached for the initial invasion. I haven't seen any since then. The Army ended up not buying them. I have seen pics of them from OIF, but can't find any online. They had a 00 for the Unit ID # since they were division assets. I think the bumper #s were left: 3I, right HQ 61 and HQ 62. They had THOR and (I think) MARS stenciled on the front of the cabs, under the louvers, too.
Here are a few pics of them in non-OIF settings.
Hope that helps.

Wow, I've never seen that before. If one was to not know and just briefly look it could pass simply as an MLRS unit.
I'm surprised more of these weren't used. I assume though that they still prefer the M577. Can I assume as well that the Stryker will be continually pahsed in to carry out command vehicle roles?

There were only a few prototypes made and tested. They were not accepted, probably due to money shortages and since the M577A3/M1068 still works well. The M1130 Stryker Command Vehicle (CV) is only used in Stryker BDEs. So no, no Heavy BDEs will get M1130 Stryker CVs.

HEY GINO… these something confused.
Not only that became and proved prototypes… 25 of them were produced and half I enter zone battle between 2003 and 2005 in IRAQ.
have very many photos in Iraq the mentioned vehicle… But as modeler always I make sure the superficial details… I need some photos but, single to confirm the construction back shelter.
I leave to some photos of my model and others you of the vehicle in action.

Last I heard, the Army was not buying them. The two articles you have linked is about one of the two 3ID ones used in the initial invasion in '03.
Sorry, I don't have any other pictures of them.
Looking good so far. Good luck with the rest of it.

I saw a couple at Baghdad International Airport when I was in OIF 1 in 2003. They were 1st Armored Division assets I think. I have a couple of pictures of them at home somewhere. I will see if I can find them and post them.
Gino, you are correct, the Army opted to not buy the systems.

I found some of my pics. Let me know if this is what you are looking for. I'm not sure if this is the same vehicle you are doing. The pics are not so great. I remember the day I shot these. It started raining and the conditions for taking pics went south. I have more pics, even some interior pics if you are interested. Don M.

Carlos
May I say your English translation is funny but ifI could speak Argintinian even half as good as you can build your models I would be a world class translator!!!!!!!!
I just wish I could build my models as neat as this one is coming on. GREAT PIECE OF WORK!!!!
I can't help thinking someone on the design team for this vehicle was a great fan of the series UFO
What colour scheme are you going for on this?
All the best
Nige

Carlos. Muy exellante!
You are a very talented modeler and your work inspires me and, hopefully, many others. Up to this point I have only one, small question.
What material did you use for the rear stair treads? It looks like speaker grille. Am I correct?
Fantastic work, my friend.
