It''s been at least 30 years since Tamiya produced the diminutive Dingo Scout Car in 1/35th scale. Now, MiniArt Ltd are bringing this excellent subject into the 21st century. Cad images and basic details can be seen:

Brilliant news, I've built the Tamiya kit and it's a lovely build but it does need an awful lot of work. I was actually on the vergbe of buying the Tamiya one to do up again but I'll wait now for this one.

If this kit is really as good as the pictures promise, than MiniArt is about to graduate from "small niche manufacturer", to major player. Photo-etch and some great figures included (other "major" manufacturers please note... ), this one will make a lot of people very happy. Let's hope it won't be long before it hits the shelves.

That is great news! I have always wished Tamiya would update their very old kit. Way to go Mini-Art!!!

It is utterly amazing.

I as a shop owner have been bringing in Masterbox and Mini-Art products from the start (almost 2 yrs now).

The product from these 2 companies available then were "OK", some detail a little soft, but offered some great unique poses that no one else were doing.

Now almost 2 yrs later, these 2 companies have leaped and bound from a small "niche" company, to what I would say is on the verge of being major players in the modeling world. Not many other companies are coming out with as innovative and unique products. From their figure sets to Mini-Art's diorama in a box sets, and now this.......we really do live in a fortunate age of modeling!

Wow! This is really fantastic. I have to say I am most impressed with Mini Art's choices and their execution. The T-70 and T-80 were both OOB jewels and FUN to build. The SU-76 ended long suffering for Russian armor modelers. I'm patiently waitng for the Bantam Jeep. Now this! Wonderful choice. Dare we hope they continue with other Brit AC's? Let us pray!

Hey Al,
Any of the Humber AC's or their Canadian cousin the Fox would also be warmly greeted !!!

Isn't the Tamiya car a different Mark though? Can't quite recall now...

Like so many others I got the Tamiya kit and a PE set for it waiting to be built... guess I'll have to get this one as well so I can compare them

The one thing that I've noticed though, and I'm not sure if this Mark was fitted with it, but it's a pity there's no anti-aircraft mount for the Bren - unless it folds down and I can't see it?

Hey Rudi,
According to the kit instructions, the Tamiya Dingo is a Mk. II.

I imagine that the next on the list will be the Italian copy of this vehicle, the Lince, also used by the germans.

I am a british armor fanatic and I love the soft skins of the British Army. I have two of tamiya's dingo but I would like to have a few of this! Just what I was wishing for!
