Gents,

What is your opinion on the demarcation of the three colour camo of our Leo 2A6M tanks? Is it hard or soft/feathered?

TIA

Brad

It's kinda somewhere in the middle.....a tight feathered edge.....make sense?

The tanks are painted the same as any other German Leopard 2 series.....so if you are looking for references then just look for German Leopard 2s.....like on Prime Portal.

A lot of the paint has severely faded on most of the tanks. So whether you go with a hard or soft edge, the paint, to the naked eye at least, always looked like an off-black to me.

Thanks Guys,

Jason, a friend of mine did a tour there and made me a nice CD, but is't still rather hard to tell due to all the dust. I agree with you that it is a tight but soft edge. Some of the photos he took show some tighter than others, so it is rather interesting. I think a paper mask just bearely off the surface will be the way to go for a scale model.

Thanks
Brad

Thanks Trevor, the photos I have show a variety of faded and fresh, so my choice it seems...

Cheers
Brad
