I have just completed Dragon's M26A-1 Pershing tank.
No flash, excellent part fit, and clear directions, make this a great kit for any armor modeler. The indi track links are no fun, but other than that, the construction is very straight forward. The only thing I haven't added yet is a tow cable (which does not come with the kit).
I am continuing to experiment with preshading and using multiple layers of different colored armor greens to achieve some depth and color interest, but this one didn't quite work out as I had planned, (so I'll keep trying).
The first two pics show in progress pics of the turret, with the following views of the completed model. As usual, helpful comments are appreciated. Thanks.
Steve

Looks good to me as wello. Theres nothing I can point to that I would change or improve upon. Beautiful model. Dont be too hard on yourself ...... the paintwork is first class. It has a very clean yet weathered appearance which is nice. Id be really happy if this was mines!

How do you build 'em so fast and make them look very good at the same time?! This is a very nice Pershing! I like the weathering on the running gear and tracks

Looking better all the time Steve.
I like the more restrained use of the Drybrush.
The different tones of Green are very effective, keep experimenting. :-)
Nice Work,
Andrew

Your weathering skill is one of the best I seen, not too weathered, yet bring out the life like used look of the tank. You have to write an article about how you do it.
Good work!

Lord WWH,
Sorry that I forgot to mention in the first post. May I comment that the lens color looked dead on. Congratulations that you finally pulled it off. Somewhat a very impressive accomplishment..... (++)

Yet another fantastic kit. I expect to see it first-hand at NordiCon... what's next?

Dunno why you're doubting it at all, that is very impressive work, you've also managed to get an effect that few people can manage, the sense of the roughness in the casting of the turret, the weathering is subtle and discreet as well. Lovely build... Jim

That is one great looking tank. You nailed it. Wonderful 50 cal. The multilayer color is looking great and the wash was applied wonderfully.

Paint job looks great. The layering and weathering makes the finish look very natural. You definitely have a winner with this Pershing.

Nice job Steve, it looks very good. For what concerns the pre-shading not being so visible I thin the base color very much, sometimes at 80%, to allow the pre-shading to bee seen...

Steve. Another great additio to the OD brigade. You are to hard on yourself about the painting. I think the weathered paint shows your great skill in this area. I wish I could do it as well as you.
