Hi there
It has been a while since I have posted anything, and the reason for this is everyday life and sculpting...
Henceforth this is the sculpt I am sculpting between sculpts

He is a true work in progress, and he has been stripped back a couple of times...
The reason the coveralls are so bulked at the top is to accommodate the tankers jacket he will have on underneath. I have just finished sculpting the ammo pouch and placed it in position.

He has an open slit pocket on his left hip, and will wear a holster on his right.

I need some feedback as to what his arms could be doing? I initially intended to have the right arm bent, hand on hip, and the left hanging by his side. Any thoughts?
Cheers

holding cup of coffee? bottle of beer? maby a map folded in half? seems to have a pondering "where do we go" look to him. He looks great so far. I am amazed at the quality of some of the sculpting I've seen in 35th scale, this looks like it will be right up there, looking foreward to seeing it progress.

Thanks Eric. I think the map is a good idea? He could maybe be holding it in his straighter left arm, with the right bent to his hip or bent and hand resting on top of the holster?
Cheers for the feedback

Maybe open map in front of his chest (right arm, like comparing layout on map vs. what's "out there"), while his left is like holding the back of his head/neck (like saying, "where the hell are we now?!?")

It would be a natural pose, and a winner!

Mate, I'm envious of your ability to create such deep, flowing folds.

When are we gonna see that U.S Lieutenant sculpt finished, and all the others for that matter!

Thanks Jorge, the map idea is quite tempting...

Thanks Chas... The Lt. is getting prepared mate

Rudi, I thought of a pioneer tool even. Maybe a handcrank?

this pic is deceptive... It almost looks as though the ammo pouch is not sitting flush on the belt, but I assure you it is, as per the first pic
I have since added more putty under the belt to 'flare' out the coveralls a little to give the impression that the belt is holding in some strain, and also added a holster...

I like the map idea or maybe a luger

Gday Pat
Yep, I have seen that pic, and funnily enough I stuck a couple of 'stunt' arms on him, which just happened to be in an almost identical pose to him! The right arm bent and resting on the holster. It is a good fit, and with his head turned to his left gives a feel for maybe watching an event, such as a prisoner march or similar? The Luger is a great idea too, and would provide a uniquely themed pose...
Cheers

Great start Brad! I think it looks like he scratches his unshaved chin and swear over that he forgot to tie the extra fuel cans to his tank properly. So now he watches the fuel running out on the ground...
By the way, is it magic sculpt you use?
