I think it's a nice looking build. I like how it came together.

Is there a reason you haven't yet added the driver's hatch, his persicope, or the headlights?

Nice weathering by the way - it hugely changed how the model looked. Well done.

nice looking M-36 Anirudh, i've also got this kit in my stash, but have yet to start it, thinking of getting some AM PE. reading this thread has helped me avoid some of the pitfuls of the kit if i do decide to start like the ammo cases

Another problem with using the M10 kit as a base; the M 36 did not have the armor bosses on the hull sides like the M10 did.

cheers for the info about the armor bosses UncaBret, i'd have never known about that if you hadn't highlighted it for Anirudh. Ant

Cheers for the replies guys.

@Bret I didn't know about the armour bosses, but I think it's a bit late to remove them now. I will have to remember that if I make another one.

@Russ Thanks for the comments and I'm glad you like it

@Danny, I haven't added the drivers hatch because I'm waiting for the Warriors crew so I can fit a driver in the hatch first. The headlights aren't on because I feared I'd break them whilst handling the model.

@Ant I'm glad you like it and that it helped you with your build if only by highlighting what was wrong with mine

Let me rephrase: MOST of the WWII M36s did not have the armor bosses, I have just come across a couple photos of them with. And not all of the M10s did have them, some late production vehicles don't. (Sorry about that)

So, your model is fine! Looks good, btw.

Well its time for the next update. I managed to find some US figures for this dio, but not in all the poses I would like. Can you believe there were only 3 US figure sets compared to 33 german ones? and no british or russian ones?
Anyway, I've started painting and weathering the figures/weapons and am working on the faces at the moment. The tank has also had some more stowage added to the turret, which still needs to be weathered fully.

Work on the tank:

Now for the figure kits:

And work so far:

All together and...

So thats it for now, until I finish the figs, get the tank crew and start work on the base.

bye for now
