Finished the tools on the right side.. .I didn't glue the main tool racks on, cause I figured they'd be easier to paint seperate...

Looking good Tuna.
I have a couple of suggestions.
First, the wire for "running" the tracks should be wrapped tighter around it's holder. From reference, I have seen that this is accurate.
Some of you tool clamps are crooked, if you wish to portray them damaged, you should damage some of the equipement around it.
The retaining chains for the for the "C ring" towing clevis should be made to look mre natural, ie. adjust the sag to look gradual, not abruptly bent.
I would suggest gluing the tool mounts on now as it will not be easier to paint them seperately.
Other than that, the build looks clean and accurate, nice work.

We have had this discussion before, but I would like to revisit it. You placed your accessories on the vehicle before placing the base and subsequent colors on her. Are you going to have the tools bear the vehicle colors or are they going to reflect metal and wood colors? If the latter, how are you going to do it?
thanks

Super work with the PE. I really admire those who have the patience to get this stuff folded well and put it all on the vehicle.
Take care, sgirty.

Hi Steve,
The etch set is Aber..
Hi Andrew...
I didn't even know what that wire was for... I saw it some photos... so tried to put one on there.. I would've like to have done tighter.. but was having a hard time getting it to wind up as is... but now I know what it's for!!
LOL, on the tool clamps being crooked.. that's just the rookie in me.. I'm getting better.. so as time goes on I hope to get cleaner... I agree on the chains too.. I tried to bend them down to simulate gravity.. but with all the time it takes me to do these pieces I didn't want to be too forceful and break something that already takes me hours to do... as time goes on and I get more skills and patience I will definately try to do better in future models...
On gluing the main racks.. I debated it in my head and I still think it would be a lot easier to paint the handles and heads of tools with those seperate... I don't know.. decisions decisions.....
Thanks for the comments....

Ah, the age old debate of whether to pain now or to paint later. In my opinion, it's easier
to paint the tools later when using PE. I found it very difficult to attach and paint the last few PE pieces after everything else was painted, it would have been better for me to spray them all in place on the model and go back to carefully paint the tools.

Inside the coil wire rope, would be the wooden track jack base block. You can get a better "wrap" by installing the block,it will give some "corners to the wire.
I usually keep tools off,and paint the mounts,I have no trouble painting tools later,I look at them as kits within a kit.
