Hi Andrew,
I love your What ifs,
This one looks great too.
The biggest gun in use by the Commonwealth forces was the 5.5" gun.
It was never mounted on a tank/ AFV we always thought it should have and what an effective weapon it would have been.

Andrew,
looking good man! Your 100mm improves the Sherman's Firepower what are you going to do on the armor side of the equation?
Sandbag it? Supplemental plates? or load it up with Track links?
Whatever- it is a neat concept. Steve

thanks guys for your poststhe
armour would bascily be doubled up all round
engine could be a wright radial g200 800 hp or a v12 ford
a theory ive come up with is if a few of these were mixed in amoungst standard m4 tanks
from a distance they wouldnt be immediatly noticable
and by the time the germans realised some thing was up
it would be too late
regards and thanks for your interest

Hey Andrew,
Another interesting "what if" !
Your vehicle looks very similar to a scale drawing of a proposed improved M4 in Hunnicutt's Sherman bible.
The turret's different from your vehicle, the one in the drawing has a welded turret made up of flat, angled plates.
I can also see some similarity in your vehicle to the T14 Assault tank:
Looking forward to you finishing the build !!
Cheers

Hi Andrew,
Your Uber Sherman looks great! Perhaps this could double as an assault tank with the addition of optional armor modules. The Armor Board experimented with a number of such improvements including plastic armor kits.
Did you make the turret out of Super Sculpy? Whatever you used, it came out very nice.
When I saw this model I immediately thought of the same two vehicles.
