Hello,
Here is a Kettenkrad I've finished the other day. It will be one of three vehicles on the diorama I am currently working on.
I used the dragon Kit, which by the way was absolutely disappointing to me. A lot of fit problems and waped plastic parts. I used a PE set from Eduard to add some more detail to the model. A very nice little set which features some great details, like for example the NSU signs on the front of the Krad.
I created the weld seams in the front myself using stretched sprue, which was good as there was an ugly gap due to fit problems of teh kit.
I painted with tamiya acrylics, added some filters from MIG. Washings were only applied to the most prominent areas. After that I applied some oil paint filters to decline the colors and get softer color transitions. Chippings were added with a dark grey and a small brush. Some of these chips were outlined with a light sand yellow. The really worn off spots were done with a soft pencil. That really gives a nice bare metal look.
Some pigments were the last step to give it the finishing touch.
Cheers,
Heli

Nicely done. I have one to be built, so I appreciate the build warnings.

Very nice work on this build, the only issue I noticed was the top run of tracks on one side. This is still a good example and to echo Darryl thanks for the warning about the kit.
