I was kicking around a build log for this one, but I didn't start the detailed picture taking until the "Jeep Wreck!". So instead I will just throw these shots out and see how it goes!

Here is the set up, the fighting is done, the germans hold the town. Heer and Waffen troops pass as they return to thier respective units. The featured vehicles are the Sdkfz 251/9 and the wrecked lend lease jeep.

Thanks for looking

Very nicely done Jonathan. Is the building a kit or scratch work?

Darren,

The house is a modified Mini Art kit the Hungarian City Building. The interior is scratch and the wall section under the front window was added.

Great scene you've done there! Looks good, figures came out well, nice interactions. Building and debris around the base turned out nice.

Thanks for sharing! Cheers -

That is a very fine diorama Jonathan, I really like what you have done with the building. i particularly like how you added those cellars, a very nice touch. I would hazard that some more rubble can be added to the collapsed side of the building, but other than that, it looks really good.

(shameless hint, we would like to feature this as an On display, or a feature if you have more pictures, some 'in progress' (does not need to be a step by step) and a more detailed write up.... )

Cheers

The interior is really good, I too like the cellar. The figrues and vehicles are really well done. Your general composition is pretty nicely done.

I've a couple of things to comment on. The white edge of the roof taht doesn't have shingles on it. I don't understand it, it doesn't look right to me architecturally and color wise it's too clean and white if it's an accurate construction.
I thnk the rubble quantity is fine.
What I would like to see is 'something' in the front right corner and a bit more in the back right corner. They are a bit empty.

Really nice diorama, the house is my favourite part, Just a little bit more rubble then it is a stunning diorama!

Well done mate!

very nice looking diorama Jonathan! I'm not diorama expert, thats for sure but I think it looks outstanding. Perhaps you could add a few hiding Russians downthere in that cellar...perhaps soldiers lying in wait for a few scared civilians? that said, its still a great diorama. nice job.

Wow..that's one awesome dio. I would like to see more of the cellar, what a great idea. I too followed your jeep build and it came out great, especially when placed in this dio. The figures and placement of them are perfect.
awesome job dude.

Hey Justin,

Quoted Text

Perhaps you could add a few hiding Russians downthere in that cellar...perhaps soldiers lying in wait for a few scared civilians?

My first diorama (I built about 20 years ago, yikes!) had a full cellar with figures...

This one is only about an inch deep and it's flodded, complete with floating debris (I'll try to load a couple pictures later). I do like the Civilan idea though, I'll hold onto that for a future project!

Thanks
