Hi Jimmy.
This might sound rude, but my intentions are good.
If you canīt be bothered to fix the problem or try to improve it, why should we waste time trying to offer help and suggestions. You can see what the problem is, it would be an easy enough fix .... or IMO, look better without the decals.
I think its just my idea of having a community where we help one another and urge each other to strive for improvement, but I donīt know what to say when somebody cant be bothered. Oh well!!!

Jimmy,
Do you plan do add the rest of the turret slogan as well? It apparently should say "For Stalin" in Russian or something like that, but the "For" (looks kinda like "3a" in azbuka) is missing. I understand you're not depicting a particular vehicle (using T-34 markings) but it is not gramatically correct as it is - it doesn't mean "Stalin!", the "a" at the end makes clear the "for" is missing...
Other than that, good work so far...

UPDATE: Sorry, I did not notice prior writing the response you've decided to remove them...

Jimmy from these forums (people with more knowledge than I) it appears that slogans were not on the vehicles until after the event, I believe this to mean that they were added for a photo opportunity only.

Hi Jimmy, that is one of my favorite kits and I am putting the finishing touches on mine right now for AMPS coming up next month. Try coating with Pledge Future next time before and after applying decals. I used the kit supplied ones and they took some playing around with, but it was worth it.They actually conformed to the bolts after using micro-sol and then tweeking them gently to conform tightly. Also be very careful about handling the vehicle at any time with your bare hands, try using latex or nitrile gloves. The natural oils in your hands leave finger prints even on dry paint that you might only see if held at an angle in the light . They are all over your turret. The build looks nice, as well as the paint job and washes. Try various colored filters/ washes with a dissimilar base than your base coat. You will be amazed at the results. I only hope that you take this as constructive criticism, keep up the good work, Jim Rosado

Hi Jimmy
Ive seen some amazing armor over the last 7 years, and among the best were a few from guys who dont own an airbrush at all. Future (Johnsson plastic floor polish) can be brushed on ... before and after decals ... as its self levelling ... and you wont have the silvering.
If I originally just said "nice job" or not posted at all ... would you be happier with a finished model, that is below your own capabilities. With each new model, you have shown good development ... it would be such a pity to settle for something so obvious. As I said originally ... this is all meant with good intentions.

Frank, sorry for snapping, I hope there was no harm done,
I have removed 70% of said decals using the Sellotape method,
Ales, thankyou i think that i wouldt have kept it if it was grammatically incorrect,
Darren, thanks, i am "attepting" to remove them but i should hv done a little digging prior to application.
Jim, i tried the kit markings wih M-sol, but i tore one whils repositining " doh"
and i too noticed the fingprins, again " doh"
Frank, Thanks for your second commet, made me feel a lil guilty. ( in a good way)
now im a trying to remove the rest of the Transfers

Hi, Jimmy, Frank is right, you don't need an airbrush to apply Future or acryllic flat over the decals. Not trying to take sides, just saying you can apply Future with a wide, soft brush and get a similar effect.
In general, dry transfers are the way to go IMO. They eliminate a ton of the problems with transfer film.

No harm ... what so ever. Somehow I knew you would take my comments in the way they were meant .... the force is strong with you, young Padawin!!
I know its a step back today .. but tomorrow when you look at your finished model and see these things you didnīt take care of today ... have you any idea how annoying it is. Guess how I know this??

Hi Guys, i have added my first ever filter, these pics were taken yeserday, so now,the tank does not have a cold feel,
i ahve been experimenting with gloss paint(varnish) on highlights and worn areas ofthe tank, and am getting some subtle but interesting effects.

I think those Russian slogans are easier to hand paint on the turret and look like the real thing, than to even mess with the decals if they are going to look like that.
