That is nice. The weathering almost reminds me of a vehicle that spent some time near a coastline.

Ek,
Not to side-track discussion of your model, but since I was a kid I always wondered what the heck that roller cylinder did on the front of the half-tracks and White scout cars? I am assuming it has some important function.
Is it to help the vehicles climb embankments?
Thanks,
Jim

AFAIK, its to help the vheicle begin the climb and enable to have a better "angle of attack" when approaching an obsticle.
i have seen some mutts that the crew used an ampty 105mm tabk shell tied to the front bumper for the same purpose

Ek very nice M3 What color did you use and was this a conversion kit? Or was it scratchbuild? Jim that roller on the front was used to keep the front end from getting bogged down in a ditch I believe

EK
Very nice bit of work. The White Scout Car is a favorite of mine and your modeling skill really enhances the kit.

Very nice M3A1 there Ek.
Jim, the roller was used to help keep the halftrack's nose from getting stuck in the ground when it crossed ditches or after steep downhill runs and for breeching any other reasonable sized obstacle

Interesting version of this vehicle. I always thought it was a covered winch. Learn something new all the time
