Now that I've ordered the Tasca Sherman V, does anyone have a link to any information on the quality/accuracy of this kit? I expect that it will be pretty good, but I've not been able to find any kind of review so far. I know, I know..."cart before the horse" and all that! Any guidance will be most welcome. TIA!

Hey Gary
I have built a couple of the US M4A1s and as far as they go they are a dream to put together but nonetheless have some small problems, not immediately noticeable unless going looking for them
I'm sure you'll be impressed regardless.
Try here. A very handy and trusted website for all the latest releases comparisons reviews etc

Accuracy? Practicalby impeccable. The tweaks you'd want to add are:
- weld seams around rearmost rectangular engine plate (I don't have my directions or I'd give you the part number). Here's a pic of my most recent build. http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f74/ericadeane/M4A4%20Scarifier/037-1.jpg. You see the red putty around three of the sides at the rear.
- beef up the bulge in front of the two drivers' armored hoods. The lap gunner's bulge was thicker than the driver's hood.
- fill seams around 3-piece transmission housings
- don't use the rubber/foam springs inside VVS housings. Use .040" styrene instead

It's part E31 -- the rearmost and side seams should have a weld seam on it. The only edge that doesn't require the weld is the one that mates with the larger engine deck hatch.

Thanks, Guys,
Got the word Saturday: the model is on the way. I'm looking forward to seeing it (no kidding!), and your help here will be most useful indeed. Thanks again!
