Finally .... and about time too !!!!!

As previously posted during the build, these are Tamiya's M4 Sherman with the Verlinden M1 Dozer Blade and Italeri's M32 TRV equipment cross-kitted to an M4A3.
Hope you enjoy the pics and any comments or critiques gratefully requested.

Terrific job there Robert! Love it. Lots of details to pick out.
Very nice weathering. If I had to pick on anyhthing, it would have to be the mud blotches. Maybe they seem to sporatic to appear realistic.
Great job though, keep em coming.

Sherm:

Just a great look here with these vehicles. Great shot through the turret ring into the hull. This is good stuff.

Great work shermanfreak. Love the finish on the vehicles. I suppose you are waiting for final weathering, when the ground work is added! I agree with kencelot, abot the mud blotches seeming to be a little sporatic, but this will be easy to make look better when the ground work is added. Maybe some long grass in strategic places will hide the attachment wires underneath as well.
This may have been a big job to build, with all the conversion work, but it is something that definately paid off, as you have a really fine dio in the making. I love both vehicles, and can only admire what you have done!!

Very nice build. The finish is Great. The dry brushing and weathering is well done.
Have to agree about the mud. I would offer that maybe a bit of mud along the tracks and drive wheel would even it out a bit (on the dozer version).

Very nice subjects - well done

Thank you all for your kind words and comments. Even though I sort of agree that they would look great in a dio, I kinda like them without the ground work. I think that it highlights the models and keeps the viewers focus there. Maybe on another project. Thanks again.

Robert, why you don't try doing an anonymous "minimalist" groundwork? I often do it on my AFVs and it shouldn't take so much attention off your models...

Couldnt agree more. In fact i would go as far as saying that it would only add to the effect of your vehicles. You already have the area to be "earthed" pin-pointed, in the raised area. A very thin layer of earth with some little clumps of static grass and a few small stones would be enough. It brings realism to the scene instead of 2 brilliant models working on what plainly can be seen is a a bit of timber! Just my opinion on the matter, although they are your vehicles and I respect your decision to do with them what you will!
If I was going to get "pushy", I would suggest one onlookin figure .... but thats just me!!
None-the-less, great work Shermanfreak. I enjoyed all your earlier posts on the build up of these beauties as well. Looking forward to more of your projects!!

Fabio & Plasticbattle ..... you two are making good arguments for some minimal groundwork for these two. I will certainly think on it for a couple of days and possibly reconsider my previous stance. Thanks guys. :-)

I've got to say that the Olive Drab finish is superb!!!!
Was this achieved by dry-brush or airbrush ocerspray?

Alittle more mud on the dozer blade I think...but you should be proud! GOOD WORK!!

Thanks Steve, Charles and Martin your comments are greatly apprecaited.
Martin - the finish is achieved through drybrushing, graphite and pastels.
