Hey Everyone
I post this question because I'm doing research on a future T-72 build. I'm still getting up to speed on the numerous variants of T-72s but this one eludes me. The only way I can learn is to ask right...??
Can someone explain to me what the differences are between these two T-72's? Primarily to the exterior.
The first is a Georgian T-72 and the second is a Russian T-72, and the only difference I can tell is the front fenders...
Thanks in advance for all your input. Cheers!
I found these images on the internet, both (I believe) are from Getty images.

There are virtually no differences, apart from fenders and different road wheels, having 6 or 8 indents. Both tanks are T-72B produced prior 1989.

Thanks George!!
Since I cannot see the road wheels is there anyway of knowing whether they have 6 or 8 indents??? Like did Georgian T-72B tanks only use road wheels with 8 indents??
I'm assuming it's all a mix bag... but thought it worth checking incase something like that did actually happen. I'll keep reviewing my photos of Russian and Georgian tanks during this conflict. Thanks for the help! Cheers!

Georgian Tanks used both 6 and 8 dent road wheels depending on the model. Their T-72B would most likely use 6-dented type since most of them have later style front fenders and 8-dent ones were used on very early T-72B batch only. Thing about these road wheels is that they are perfectly interchangeable and there are pictures of tanks, not Georgian, having them mixed.
