EDIT: This thread has been moved to Historiscus Forma HERE
Hello Everybody
Who would be interested in figure campaign focused on evolution of soldiers?
Idea of the campaign would be making at least two figures (or figure sets) from two different historical eras so the difference in uniform, equipment and weaponry is clearly visible. Figure pairs presented this way could show incredible evolution in warfare through the history. Any scale, any nationality, any two eras (i.e. U.S. OIF soldier and ancient Roman centurion or WWII UK tank commander and Crusader Knight or WWI Prussian soldier and French dragoon from Napoleonic Wars).
It would be great opportunity for everyone to build something else than usually and learn something more about warfare evolution (it would be fun and education in the same time, though Bart Simpson claims that it’s impossible…)
So here are the rules I’d suggest:
1. Campaign is figure focused.
2. Any scale, any historical era, any nationality is allowed.
3. Each participant must build and paint at least two figures (or figure sets) showing soldiers from two (or more) different historical eras to present difference in warfare, uniforms, equipment through the ages.
4. Figures can be presented on vignette or diorama, but work must be focused on figure.
5. Figures can be mounted (i.e. soldier on a motorbike or a tank vs knight on a horse) as long as the focus is on figure.
6. Figures can be shown as operating weapons or other equipment (i.e. soldiers with gun vs knights with trebuchet).
7. Figures can be shown on one stand together to show their difference or may be placed on two separate dioramas/vignettes or totally stand-alone.
8. Figures may be in two different scales but one-scale groups are encouraged.
9. Work must begin and be completed within the active period.
10. At least one picture of finished figures (all figures on one picture or one picture per figure) has to be submitted to campaign's gallery the forum to complete campaign.
Campaign ribbon will be awarded to each member completing at least one pair of figures (or figure sets) by the finish date. No multiple awards will be granted.
I’ve checked other campaigns and I think that good time period for this campaign would be about 1st December 2009 – 30th April 2010 (I believe that 5 months is enough).

Andrzej,
Figure focused campaigns are the sole domain of HF on Kitmaker. I see you've cross posted there as well. Please submit your campaign proposal on HF.
Please note that on HF you only need 5 entrants to get the go-ahead for a campaign.

Sure thing, Rudi!
Since Armorama has figure campaign dept. as well and this campaign would allow miscelaneaous equipment and warfare not being figures' personal equipment (tanks, balistas, etc) so I thought that Armorama is good place for this one.
OK everybody! WE'RE MOVING THIS ONE TO HISTORICUS FORMA!
