Hi guys,
it is me again with another wagon build, which I have begun. Unfortunatelly the parts fit very bad and I have to fill a lot, using liquid resin or bites cut from plastic sheet. The main body is glued together and I can start with the wheels. More details at my website:

The tank is glued on the chassis and another small job done today, but not pictures yet.

I am working hard on coupling system, first pieces in resin came out from moulds and oilers for the wheel bearings as well.

Hello, WOW, you come up with the Coolest Railcar projects. I admire your builds/hard work on these. You have given me some good ideas for buiding my Dragon Railcars, ie adding brake and air lines etc. At the present I build OOB as my modeling skills are not that great.
Keep em comin, milvehfan

Thanks, milvehfan,
it is nice to hear, if this could help to someone. Rail cars builds do not seem to be as popular as the other armor things, however they become very interesting to me. Well, maybe I am a bit different person, as I was told many times in my life
All right, another progress here, the brake system finished and some adds have come.

Thanks, Andrew,
your painting went very nice way. I hope to start with painting soon, it will be easier to work on 2 or 3 cars together the same time. I still have to add many small details on the cars before that. To make the moulds, I use some modified spares for making the masters, but I also create them by myself, if there is nothing like that available. With a piece of plastic, different rods, wires, bolds etc, after hard and long work with knife, file and other tools, you can get very good result. This was the hardest one I have done so far, 3-way valve for steam locomotive. I will need about 7 pieces for my next builds, so highly valuable piece for me. The scale is in millimetres.

Thanks for looking.
Cheers, Libor

A big progress made on the tank wagon, many details added, some handles, grease boxes on wheel bearings, chains for for the valves, upper lid improved. Interior of the brake cab is painted already, brake wheel inside as well. Coupling system completed from resin castings. Just a couple things to be done, air hoses with their valves and pipe for valves at the back of the car.

Hi Brock,
that sounds good, great idea. Let me know, anything you need, I am ready to help. I have been searching hardly for a long time, drawings for BR42 or BR50, I would like to build one in large scale 1/16 I suppose, whole thing "homemade", but detailed to the last screw. The biggest project of my life Well, one day, far from here, I will definitely start with that.
Friend of mine is building post war BR52 in 1/35, base from Trumpeter kit with some PE and other aftermarket stuff, but maybe half of it is scratchbuild, resin castings etc. It is the nicest model I have ever seen, over 70 pages at forum, but unfortunately just in Czech languague. I you want to check the pictures, follow link here:

BR52
Again, let me know, whatever you need.
Cheers

I have finished building today, some details like airvalves or pipes added. Surfacer is airbrushed on and I will paint the final color soon. However, I am not quiet sure, what color to use, kind of grey probably, with regular dark chassis and red brake cab.

The tank car got final painting, I will apply decals after varnish coat, and weathering then. I left the brake cab in grey, most cars had used the same colour for tank and for cab as well.
