Hi everyone,
this is my last car from Baluard production for my train. Actually it is almost last one for whole train, just Trumpeter gondola will be added. Anyway, the length of my train diorama is like 240 cm.
I have glued the sides and built in the toilet. Some references gotten for its interior, so I hope to upgrade it nicely.
More can be seen at my website soon:
Baluard cars
I have received another kit from Baluard already, electric Baureihe E 45 locomotive, which seems to be manufactured better, but this one will come later with another part of my diorama planned.
For this train it is BR 86 steam locomotive, my next build. She will get about 50 upgrade parts from resin, about 30 moulds to be made, hundreds PE and other adds, 4 - 6 months of work, IŽd say. She should appear like this one day:
Thanks for looking, your comments are welcome.
Cheers
Libor

Libor,
Really looking good! I like what you've done with those Baluard cars. Silk purse out of a sow's ear?
You should pop up a couple of "overall" pictures of your dio.

Thank you, Guys!
I hope to get base for my first part of the dio next week (painting my house now ) I will then lay down the tracks and bring out some ideas planned and pictures as well.
Small work done again on the passenger car, looks better on spoked wheels.
Train is getting quiet longer:

Thanks, Andrew,
I am limited by diorama base length, which is gonna be 240cm. So I suppose BR 86 and 5 or 6 cars in this train. Firs part of the diorama is about 40cm wide, spur rail track with train, coal and water cranes, ash hole, half ruined building with some service in its good part, and coal supply in the ruined area. A loading ramp or small warehouse, some small vehicle or something else, a few figures, I am not quiet sure yet, IŽll get my base next week and I will show pictures with drawing. 6 or 7 more rail tracks with locomotives, wagons, rail gun, armoured train even Dora, other buildings etc. will come in the future.
Cheers

Hey Libor,
I like the railcars! Really good work you've done. I've been particularly interested in the Tank car. I have one in the stash but never tried to do anything with it
Could you tell me the dimensions on the passenger car? Length, width, height. I appreciate it.
Thanks
Bill

Hi, Bill, thank you.
It is basicly the same size like the others, about 26 cm length and 11 cm height.
Another small update today, currently I am working on grease boxes and coupling parts.
Thanks for looking

Thank you guys for encouraging me,
my work is going just slowly now. Making up 6 footboards for covered car took last night about 5 hours. Today I want to make windows for the passenger car, as they are not in the kit or missing too
About vehicles, IŽd like to load something smaller on the low-sided car, a gun maybe, and I was thinking about motorbike and kubel at the front of this part of the diorama. Also citroen would be great, if available til then. I will have to check for trucks available too, there would be nice some around the coal supply. IŽll see exactly when the base is here.
Thanks for your comments, keep looking.
Cheers

Thank you, Tim,
I have almost finished the interior. That was very hard work to make the windows and glue them in, hope the result is not too bad. I even left the seats bad castings like that - damaged by vandalism. Some extras will be still added and final touch at the end. Some pictures here, more news is at my website.

Thank, Andrew,
actually I am gonna leave it like this, I used this one Žcause the lower part is written in my languague. I have got today some propaganda posters from Archer, and there is a few more now inside. I also got very good book from Germany today, about 500 rail photos from 1930 - 1945, and another one a couple days ago, very good as well, so much inspiration for my build. By the way, some pictures showing interior of this car - or relative one - having small tables below the windows (the only picture I had before was a car after restoration later) so I decided to mount these tables in my car too. They have been finished tonight, just to be painted. Once done, I will bring more pictures. Last days I was busy with finishing of the tank wagon, which is done at last, but that kept me away from anything else. IŽll be back soon with the updates.
Cheers

Actually I was thinking about it for passenger car, but I did not find any suitable clear cover for the bulbs, so I just left it like that. The car has large windows to see enough, and all the inaccuracies would be seen better in bright light
There will be many lamps working around the train, and also the locomotives will get lights in their cabins - for BR 86 I have planned red light to represent flames in open fire chamber too. There should be a driver inside and a fella loading coal on, but not people siting in the passenger car yet. Just some guys getting train ready to go, checking brakes and oils, and some others hanging around. I want to scratch build another bigger passenger car in the future, running through, which will have people inside too (and working lights )
Cheers

I have already started my work on the whole train diorama, first details can be seen here:
