I know the campaign calendar is full at this time, would it be possible to pencil in another armour campaign?
Engineering vehicles, that is any vehicle any vehicle converted or purpose built for use by engineers / sappers. This would bring in almost all armour and soft-skin builders. Examples would be:
Armoured recovery vehicles
Bridge layers
Workshop repair vehicles
Demolition vehicles
There are many kit out there for campaigners to build OOB, also there are many PE kits as well. Opportunities exist for scratchbuilders to modify kits as need be. Good results could be obtained for campaigners with a very small budget. For example, an Italeri Sturmtiger costs under $20.00, an Academy M113 Fitter under ± $30.00, a Kubelwagen converted to a workshop vehicle (Tamiya + Verlinden) ± $40.00. A Kubelwagen or Opel Blitz scratchbuilt conversion to a workshop vehicle ± $30.00 incl tools from Aber etc.
Any thoughts?

And I'm already doing the Fitter for the coldwar campaign.
Hopefully more people would like this idee

This looks the perfect excuse to build the M31 with Tamiya's and Calibre 35's kits!

Engineering Vehicles are a theme for the 2004 AMPS Nationals... This would be a GREAT campaign to have... especially if it ended right around April '04! That way there'd be extra encouragement to finish before the "big show".
I have one started already... (ARV Mk II)... but I will be doing another one before the show.
Later,
Tim

I've got a CMK Bergepanzer IV and an AFV Club M88A1 that will fit the bill straight out of the box.

I'm in. Sounds like fun, maybe Jan '04 to APril '04?
I would then have an excuse to know the dust off that M984A1 or even go after SP Designs new AZM engineering vehicle...nothing like too much to do...

Any thoughs to adding a figures section to this campaign? ) (I'd vote for any era and any scale). It will probably require a conversion of some sort (with the exception of the 999-s German Engineer and some of the 1/35th DML kits). Up to you guys, and if there is any other interst out there for it....

You can definitely count me in. It will be a fitter or an M113 dozer to go with my M548.

I'm not planning any recovery vehicle at this time... I've something in my drawer that I'd like to do. Can you extend the subject to "humans recovery vehicles" better known as ambulances? If so I'll join in with an M113 ambulance.

Sounds good to me. I've got the Verlinden "Bergepanzer" conversion for the Italeri/Testors old Panzer IV. Time to dig it out and take a closer look at it.

Sounds very interesting - I love 'off' subjects. Depending on when and what else is going on I may throw in my hat.

What about a theoretical Recovery / Engineer Vehicle?
