I am waiting to receive the Real Model Coyote Uparmoured kit. Would the proper paint scheme be NATO green or a Canadian Forces customized color? If customized, what would be a match mixing Tamiya paints. Any input is appreciated.

Jeffrey,
I use Gunze Sangyo H340 US field green FS 35097 for Strykers and LAVs.
This is mixed if need color light or dark.

Miloslav, thanks for the suggestion. I dont have access to Gunze paints locally, just Tamiya Model Master and Vallejo. P.S. can't wait to start building your Coyote conversion, it looks excellent! Jeffrey

Jeffrey,
Thanks. I think that Model Master field green is the same. For yellow I use Model Master US ARMY/USMC sand.

Rick, thank you for the inpuut and the welcome. The Tamiya NATO green seems to be a reasonable match but did you lighten it first befor basecoating? By the way your Canadian LAV 3, very nice! Thank you, Jeffrey.

For a great match when using Tamiya paints…I like mixing one bottle of XF-67 NATO Green to one bottle of XF-65 Field Green. Between the two it’s a great match. Then just hit the high points using straight XF-67 NATO Green.

Thank you Melnikov and Joe for the help. I think a 50/50 mix of XF65 FIELD GREY and XF67 NATO GREEN lightened for scale effect with XF57 BUFF is a good way to go. Melnikov, your images would not come up on my computer and I could not see your work. Joe, I really enjoyed your blog on your Coyote build it is great work. The sensor array and mast look like a pain to build. Jeffrey
