All scratch as nobody makes a kit yet.

Comments welcome.

And yes I do move around a bunch.

Sorry not a neat area for the pic.

Like all White and clean a virgin canvas, but heck I can not lie this is how I work.

Overall very well done. Shape color, construction - nice spot on job.
I would try and roughen up the front edges of the thatch. It looks a bit to tiddy. The hinges are a bit small (very small nit pick, if you don't change them it won't matter).

Thanks Rudi and Greg.

Rudi 1/4 inch dowel rods and some Basswood.

No plans just a few looks at stuff in Russia.

Roof new paint brushes bought at Harbor freight.

Plus Home depot much cheaper at HF.

Lead and cooper for the hinges and latch.

About all, I have pics of the way I did the brushes.

I am adding some new pics to get the effect of the finished project .

Let me know.

Hi again. Is there a gate to that fence? I wonder if a section should just be open for easy access to the door of the structure. 2cents

A Very Fine Build & a Subject of intertest to me. I agree a gate or opening in the fence would be nice. A few more pics would be appreciated. Thanks for sharing this. milvehfan

Greg idea of fence taken into consideration.

Not a bad idea.

Janne more weathering is also a good idea.

milvehfan thanks.

Will see about more pics.

This is why I like this forum in feed from people keep it coming.

Thanks to all.

But I think needs more grass also kind of barren for a farm building.

Maybe some telegraphic poles outside a mail box on the corner.

Hard to find pics of Russian stuff from WW2 that are in color.

I do have a pitchfork and water tub under painting that will be outside plus a saw to cut that wood.

Well what will be there when all done will be this right here.

Well after a few emails to model buddy boy you British are hard on us Septics, wheat going away and I wanted to do some Sunflowers but that is out also,so maybe just a Telegraph pole in the corner with downed wires.

I know it kind of breaks the rule of nothing along an edge but as round I went with it anyway.

Now need to make a Large Curio Cabinet as my other ones are getting full.

Anybody Make doors that lives in Ok.?

I can do the cabinet but doors are not my specialty.

Comments appreciated.

Hi
Very nice build there.
I built a similar thing a few years ago ( JadgPanther being covered with straw next to a Russian House) as you say not much about in the way of Russian farm buildings.
Well done.

Hi Jeff. The house is excellent. Love it. The weathering/colouring is top notch and the thatch roof really sets it off. The only thing I can think of that might have improved on it ... was if the round dowels were roughened up a bit to make them look more natural. Small nitpick for an otherwise excellent building.
The panzer III looks good as well ... but its a bit flat as is ... needs some contrasting colours and signs of life. Stowage could do the trick. Great work.

Frank thanks a bunch coming from the Master I am in awe.

Plus a long way to go before finished.

Ideas taken and will be used.

Thanks.

Andy still here just slugging along.

Lee done but still I have to revisit it soon as I think needs more weathering.

Cheers Mate
