Heres the chassis of the trumpeters sdkfz7,it took me about 2 days on and off to build the chassis and engine.i was hoping to buy the DML kit when it comes out but with the recent price rise ill have to wait a little longer as i would like to build both kits.so for now ill call this the poor mans 8 ton half track as i only payed £24.95.of what i have seen of the dragon engine i think the trumpeter engine has a little more detail but does lack the molded on fan belts that comes with the DML kit.
Up to now i have not found any fit issues but am expecting some when it comes to fitting the cab, fingers crossed.
i have tryed adding a belt to the fan using small pieces of masking tape but am not intending to show the engine once finished.
Am going to start painting the chassis and engine tomorrow so should have another update.
Thanks
Karl

Great start to date Karl, looking good. Will be interesting how the build comparison goes once you've started the DML kit...
Keep at it, looking forward to watching your progress. Thanks for sharing.
