Is this rig operational or is it anther manufacters wish and hope some ome will buy it?

Cricket? Is that that little know game that is played occasionally in The Netherlands?
Mind you, your Cricket team seems to have taken a leaf out of the Dutch football team's handbook. Take some of the best players in the world, and than inexplicably get knocked out of the World Cup (again.... )

This is a joint venture between the Dutch and German military to replace the various tracked AFV's (like the YPR 765) The Germans will take delivery from this year, and the Dutch will take delivery from 2011. The British government was initially involved in the scheme, but pulled out, and after comparison test decided to purchase a hotchpot of vehicles from all over the place...

So this rig in many ways is like the Striker family. A basic rig that can be configured as need be.

I'll have to buy one of those in 2011 then, since I'm building some Dutch army vehicles. Now just wait until somebody makes a real 1/35 Fennek, and not that toy version that seems to pop up at every modelling show

In a way yes, but the Boxer is considerably larger. I'll have to go to the LHS (where they are on display), to take a side by side picture of the Boxer and Stryker.

Hi Mat,

you can get the kit now, but it will set you back around $200... but it IS a big lump of resin. I did a review here .

A Fennek in 1/35, now that would be a nice thing. If only Tristar or AFVClub would ... I've wanted one of those for ages, to go with the YPR. Is the 'toy' version salvageable, or simply best ignored?

Hi Henk,

stay away from the toy. I once saw onefor the first time from 15 meters away at a modelling fair in Eindhoven. I almost ran to it but when I came close I was veeeeeery disappointed. For a toy it actually looks good, but it is nowhere near a model, even worse than let's say if it was made by Zvezda in the 1970's

I wonder why Revell still hasn't made a Fennek in 1:35. Their 1:72 version actually looks really nice.

200 dollars is a bit much for me at the moment unfortunately. But I will keep it on my wish list which is unfortunately very long
