What's it like from an accuracy point of view? Any major howlers like in their T-62, or is it a decent kit?

Tamiya's T-72 is the best T-72 out there, but has some flaws, like the front fender box, it has the hinges in the wrong place, and has some turret shape issues, something difficult to fix, especially the turret roof being to flat (AFAIK). Absolutely looks like a T-72 when finished. I recommend you to buy the Eduard Zoom set for it. Good luck with your project. Best regards.

Steve, A nice kit that builds well with some small extra details such as small wires on the smoke dischargers etc. As others have said, it LOOKS very much like a T-72 although the purists question the turret shape.
If you want a top notch T-72, then the "Miniarm" T-72B conversion with the ERA fittings will take it to another level and it has a complete replacement turret to address any percieved Tamiya failings in that department.
Built OOB you will have a typical Tamiya build experience and a nice looking T-72 at the end of it.
If it helps Steve, I can email you some pics of the Miniarm stuff if you were to considering going down that route?
Cheers mate!
