There seems to be some interest here at Armorama so i'll show you what i've got.
As you can see the kit is from Trumpeter and i've got a RB barrel and Friulmodel tracks for it.

Its been a very easy build with very little flash or mold seams but I can't say that for the knock-out marks because it has its fair share. There was a little warp on the rear of the lower hull and the front top plate but nothing to really be concerned about. BTW that's a Jagdpanther hull beside it.

The kit cost a little more than others but your looking at really two models, one for the transporter and another for the cannon. You can build it with the gun mounted or unmounted as well.

The model is 1/35th scale and even at that is a hand full.

Inside the real thing:

Moving right along:

It has a very detailed engine and transmission. Too bad not much of them can be seen when everything is buttoned up.

A view from the rear with the cannon mounted.

Something you're going to need if you build yours as a field ready unit is the pioneer tools and the maintanence equipment, none are included with the kit.
That's where a spares box comes in handy if you've got one. I had just enough in mine to do the job so I install them where I thought these items might be placed.

As soon as my paint order comes in all that's left to do is finish this brute.

If anyone has any questions just sing out and i'll do my best to answer them for you.

Great job so far. That thing is a beast! Those reference pics really put it into perspective. Astonishing to see how gigantic some of the hardware we build really is. Thanks for posting.

Hi there Tony,
All I can say is WOOOOW ! ! ! I've seen the kit lying around at my local modellingstore. But never have I seen a presentation of the finished beast ! I'm not really into artillery but this kit could become an exception, easily ! WOOOOW again ! ! ! Btw what colours/camo you're going to use ? I certainly follow the updates, have fun.

Hi Tony,

WOW! I think the technical term for it is 'beast'. An awesome project. It'll really weigh something when those Fruils are fitted.
How are you going to display it? A few figures would look great with it to show off the size of this animal!!

Looks great so far, Tony. This is really a beast with some possibilities for nice camouflage painting. Those big armour plate sides are screaming for an elaborate camouflage.

Loking forward to see more

Thanks Folks I really appreciate your comments.
What's the camo going to be? The box art shows the "Ambush" scheme but I was told that ambush was already out of favor with high command by the time this unit was captured. If it had not been captured and possibly sent to the field, the base green with dark yellow would be more appropriate for that time period.

This Super Tiger is my 6th model to build and i'm not armor savvy by any stretch of the imagination but I would like to be somewhat close to correct with my presentation.

Being so new to the hobby, figures haven't been on my list of must do yet but i'm starting to see a need to add them for the sense of scale that a model needs. This piece had a crew of eight so it's something to think about.

Thanks Again
