Does anybody now what the casing color of T34/85 rounds where.
Where they actually yellow, or brass.. see link
http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/reviews/vehicles/hussar/hussar35005-10.htm
I'm just finishing up a 1/16th T34/85 and would like to make it as accurate as possible.
Any help would be appreciated

All the examples I've seen have been brass or brass washed ("plated") steel.

Alex & Mark
Thank you.
Alex.. Can't read Russian, but can clearly see the brass casing in the thread, much appreciated.
-I wonder why Hussar protrayed them as yellow in there artwork? (Also note there are some with blue casings)
For fun, go have a look at this video. Its recent video, with a T-34 firing re-loaded blank casings.
-Watch closely, at 1.53.. the first casing ejects, as it rolls there looks to be a wide strip of yellow paint remaining on one side.

I'll probably end up going with the brass, but they do look cool in the yellow.

In the top left corner, next to the site logo you can see a little British flag. If you click on it, Google will automatically translate the page in English. Obviously, the translation is not the best, but it will help you.
