this is my first model for my dio, and is the first time i have used weathering techniques, so please give me any pointers on how to make it look better

The pictures are a bit fuzzy so its hard to say.
Based on these images I would offer that you may need to add a bit of dusting over the top of everything. Maybe a layer of darker burned out dust and then a layer of lighter dust.

This may just be the pictures but the building and the rubble seem to me a bit too red. I can almost see pink in there too. I would try to tone everything down, especially the rubble. Give the rubble a wash of raw umber and then lightly dry-brush it with something like beige. Using chalk pastels is also a good way to simulate dust. Pastels will also tone things down nicely. Pretty good first attempt.
