Hi All

Im taking my first step into a major build and im after some help.

This months military in scale magazine (aug 09) included an excellent article on converting an old italeri Piranha into the canadian Bobcat ADV, i have never attempted anything like this before but fell in love with this vehicle and decided with the aid of an already built but surplus Revell piranha, to give it a go.

The article in MIS is pretty scant so im flying semi blind on this so i was wondering if anybody can give me some guidance, tips, reference pics etc, any help would be most appreciated, especially with regards to the Otobreda turret as so far ive not managed to find one anywhere , im not sure if my scratchbuilding skills will hold up to such a demand.

All going well i hope to post my first build log with this as well.

Any help at all would be as always appreciated.

Thanks guys.

Hi Nick
If you want to talk to the builder who built the Bobcat you can get ahold of Graeme over at this site and there is lots of build pics there as well. http://www.network54.com/Forum/169232/
Just so you know this vehicle is for an onsite theoretical contest called "Whotif Canada had this vehicle" So the Bobcat though a cool idea doesn't exist. My contribution to the contest is the M48C2 "Ursa" in KFOR it's all in fun and a way to get rid of old kits
from one Sapper to another Chimo (or seeya)

Hi

Thanks for the info there, i will definately be taking a look at the site.

I never realised it was a theoretical build not knowing a great deal about canadian armour but hey thats not a problem, like i said it looks awesum and i just have to give it a go.

Thanks for the heads up.

I love it when "what if" projects come out looking like a real vehicle.

Keep an eye out for more.....maybe they will be "what ifers".......or maybe they won't.
