I am working on a very early T-34-85 from Zavod no. 112 - this is the one with the 85mm D-5T gun like the SU-85 and the inverted "U" shaped turret lifting hooks. My base kit is the DML T-34-85 "Chinese Volunteer" kit since I happen to have one sitting here on the shelf.

So far I have:
* Anubis early 112 turret
* Round fenders robbed from another T-34 kit
* Early two-hatch cupola robbed from another DML T-34
* PE of course

I know I need to add a towing shackle to the center of the rear plate. I am planning on using wheels from either a Tamiya T-34 model 42, DML's early STZ rubber-rimmed ones or Zvezda's T-34 model 41.

What am I missing? Are there other tweaks that need to be made?

Thanks in advance

Whhhhaaattt? No repiles on this one? Danny I think you,ve covered all the pertinent details. Are you sure about the tow eye in the middle of the back plate? Did all of them have it? I like the Anubis stuff - does that turret not come with the earlier split hatch cupola?

Nothing yet I have to be patient.

I don't know if *all* the 112 tanks had the towing eye, but it was very easy to make (I finished that bit last night) and adds a nice detail so it's done. I think I missed some mods I need to make to the rear upper plate though - the bolt layout is a bit different from what's in the DML kit. I will probably tackle that today ( I am on stay-cation).

I also went ahead and used the Tamiya wheels since the Zvezda ones did not fit the DML axles. It would have been harder to make Zvezda's axles fit than to just use the Tamiya wheels.

The Anubis casting is very nice. But you need to provide your own cupola, gun tube and other details.
