Gents,

Can anyone tell me who makes the resin stowage bins and accessories for the Staghound. I picked up the Bronco Mk I Late kit and wish to build it as a Canadian WWII vehicle. Are there markings for this vehicle other than the kit ones?

TIA

Hi Brad,

Resicast makes a stowage set for the Staghound [352300], enough for two vehicles and including stowage bins seen on Canadian Stags [see vehicle on the right]:

Bison makes decals for the Staghound [35063] but they are being reprinted as stocks ran out. It contains markings for two Canadian Staghounds

Hi Thanks for the links. Do you know if anyone else sells the resicast set?

Thanks
Brad

Hey Brad, I ordered "35.2300 Staghound Stowage" from Resicast directly via email [email protected]. The only tricky thing is you have to request a quote, then do the calculation to subtract the VAT. Postage wasn't cheap.

www.rjproducts.com stocks some Resicast stuff and they would have cheaper shipping.

Thanks Ted and all. Since my trip to The Netherlands this past Spring, I have been facinated with doing something like a diorama of a liberation parade with some Cdn vehicles. Maybe some of my local modelling buddies might be willing to do group project

Cheers

Hi

Legend Productions also makes a stowage set. I got mine from my LHS but it can be ordered online.

It's the same one Graeme mentioned above. Be aware, the Bison decal set has the incorrect modern style maple leaf in the 2nd Army Corps flash. It should have the older style but maybe they're fixing this in the reprint?

Here is my Canadian Staghound Mk 1 from the Bronco kit using the Legend's set. I scratchbuilt the side bins from wire and plastruct angle in place of the jettisonable fuel barrels. Canadian crews often did some similar kind of field mod.

An excellent reference is the monograph, The Staghound In Canadian Service by Roger V. Lucy availalble from Service Publications in Canada www.servicepub.com and click the Weapons of War link on that page.

cheers;

Bob
