Hi all,

Here is some of my latest work.

The Dragon M4A1 (76)w, operation Cobra.

The build is mostly OOTB, except for the Tamiya tracks, some small leftover PE and some scratch work.

The base coat is Tamiya OD + Dark yellow. The black parts are Tamiya NATO Black.
Overall I've put a almost clear coat op tamiya Buff with Clear for a semi gloss coating.

After some weathering with MIG filters, and painting the details.
The Air recon flag is made form leadfoil. And painted with Vallejo acryls.

Next up.
Mud, dust with pigments.

HI Martin,
Saw this one (I think) on the benelux site and I really like it. The bright yellow and orange are very nice additions. One thing though: what happened to the guy watching through the pistolport on the left side of the turret?

Hi Martin,

I like your Sherman, the paint job and work. I not an American tank fan, but I only like the MA41, so what means the red jerrycan?. Also you add more effect in the turret or the "mold cast" come with the kit as we can see?

Keep posting!

Cheers, Alvaro

Great work so far! your OD color looks spot on- what are your ratios? Also, what color filters did you use? You weathering looks really good- i await the dusting and mud- make sure you describe it well so I can copy!

Martin

Your M4A1 looks great. Have one in my stash waiting as well. One comment: Are you planning to add straps to the stowage to keep it all on the vehicle? Especially the bag in front looks like it will fall off as soon as the tank moves.

Keep going! Cheers!

Good work Martin, I like the corrections to the front fenders. It's probably too late for you to get at them but for anyone else the two filler caps either side of the engine access hatch shouldn't be there- they're a mistake by DML.

Nice job on it.

Great build and paint job.

Wow great figure work also.

Only thing is that duffel bag needs something to hold it there.

Any Hangs on the Kit?

Thanks all,

@ Thomas, I'm think you are confused with the M4A1 of Mike, he has the figure in de turret

@ John, Thank you

@ Alvaro, The red jerry can means oil or grease. The texture is from the kit itself.

@ Jon, I'm sorry I can't give you the exact ratio for the OD, It is tamiya acryls, OD and Dark Yellow. My guess is 4:1, The black is NATO Black.
The filters are from MIG Productions mainly the Grey one was used.
The Pigment works is the same as Mike's M4A1 and will be in a feature on Benelux.kitmaker.net but isn't finished yet. I think this will be translated in English soon.

@ Stefan, I'll add some minor straps later on. Thanks for the headsup.

@ Pat, I knew I was forgetting some thing. A well, better luck next time. Thanks for the great photos.

@ Jeff, except for some accurate issues the kit is fine.

@ REST, Photos

Martin-
Great looking build! I like the camo and weathering very much.
There is one thing though, the LHS turret aerial mount is for a british radio- not U.S.

Hey Martin
I really like the way this has turned out mate. The colours look the part and great work on the aerial recognition panel. My only query would be on the front hatch-mounted periscopes. They are both facing off at an angle, and when buttoned up there is no one but the TC to direct the tank forward?

I'm sorry for my late reply:

@ Jeff, Thanks mate, the figure is a dragon which was good enough for this purpose. The Flag is painted with vallejo orange.

@ E. Bowman. Thanks

@ Chris, I'm fully aware of the wrong an antenna mount. Better luck next time

@ Bradley, you are right about the periscopes. I thought it was fun to put them in other directions, Now the driver can see where they are shooting at

now a final picture
