Thanks for your first hand pictures from Japan! The new kits seem very promising.

Well, it seems that their visit in Finland this summer and in Parola Armoured Museum was worth it. Lets see what else the future will bring from Tamiya...

Would the DML one be just a rebox of their older kit ? I so I'd rather get the Tamiya.

I'm sorry but i dont really think a rehashed dragon kit would be anywhere near the quality of the tamiya kit, you get what you pay for sometimes, cheers Bob.

If only! The normal rules of economics would tell you that with two kits on the market at the same time, the price of both would be driven downwards. I wouldn't bet the farm on that. More like one will come in a few pennies less than the other, and both will be twice the price of an equivalent kit from two years ago.
Still, it does increase the options for when I finally pick up an ISU-122.
Talking of ISU-122s ... if I bought an ISU-152 and a long 122mm gun, would that do it, or are there more differences?

If you'll notice, the DML kit is offered as a 3 in 1 kit, an ISU-152 and well as a ISU-122 and ISU-122S.
The major problem with the old Dragon JS/IS/ISU kits was the shallow lower hull and undersized wheels.
The text of the ad says the lower hull has been updated, hopefully the wheels too.
I've picked up a few of these Orange Box upgraded kits, they're nicely done and the bonus figures are a plus.
Cheers

T'anks for the news about the SU-152. Any idea when the kit will be released world wide; in the USA?
