I think it is called just "Model 1938", it is a 120 mm heavy mortar. I'd like to have one of those for a little scene with a BA-64 or GAZ-67 (if applicable). I want to know if there are available kits of if scratchbuilding is the only option. BTW, those traile wheels, are they Jeep wheels? They look like Jeep wheels but I want to be sure. Thanks a lot in advance. Best regards.
José.

Zvesda makes a Soviet 120mm mortar. I'm not sure if it's a Model 1938 or a later one. However, it'll be your best bet.

I do not think the picture likes to be linked to...
Yes, Italeri / Zvezda have done a 120mm WWII Mortar, (Not to push eBay, but here is a link to a picture of the kit) eBay link
You can still probably find this or the Zvezda boxing in a model shop as well.

The image is fixed (I hope so)... So Zvezda makes it... It will be a little difficult to find, because here in Lima nobody imports Zvezda kits . Well, let's see what happens. Best regards.

Hi Jose,
Zvezda currently makes the German copy of the M1938 120mm mortar, the 12cm GrW 42 Granatwerfer.
German 120-mm Mortar 42 with Trailer and Crew WWII
Since the Germans used captured Russian mortars, the Russians did the same thing with anything German.
Cheers

Try Kevin's site, he's got all the information on mortar modeling. That piece is like the first one in his gallery.

That's very good info. Maybe it is a little difficult to get that kit, and it is not too difficult to scratchbuild, that wheels on the trailer will be the problem, I think I can use Jeep wheels, I hope they're no too big. Thanks a lot for your input. Best regards.
