Shaun, nice choice. I viewed your log and the tank seems to be a small afv. How is the kit?

Hi Robert
Yeah it's a small AFV.
It's about the same size as the 1/72nd scale Churchill I'm building for the Matchbox campaign.
I've added some more pic's to my photobucket album.
The kit I'm very impressed with. There are some very small sink marks & very little flash nothing showing once assembled.
The detail is very impressive. Have started to glue the body together.

Gday mates , originally I was gonna build a Tamiya T55a but it is still months off completion . I was building this AFV Club M41A3 Walker Bulldog for the Cold War campaign but ran out of time before closing date . If it is Ok I would like to submit this as my completed model for this campaign .
It was at this point when Cold War campaign ended . On this break from work I have completed the Bulldog in ARVN livery .
I took some outside photos so thought I'd edit post , I hope this works out

Brian, your Bulldog looks good and the stowage fits nicely. Are the ariels stock or after market? Your .50 sets the whole turret off I like the color, not too black but just right. I had built an old Renwal M41 back in 1961 and fell in love with the tank.

Hi
Have managed to get most of the Hull assembled & the Turret.
Now started to cut the track links off the sprue ready to build. It comes with Indy links.
are they Tiny, The larger link is off a King Tiger both are 1/35th scale. Going to be interesting assembling them.

Shaun my heart goes out to you, my fingers and thumbs were sore for a week the last time that I tried indy tracks. I like the rubber band type they dont bite as much. Good luck on your adventure.

Shaun,
I can imagine what it's like. I remembering wondering why Tamiya's French Armored Carrier UE came with a pair of tweezers. I found out when I reached the tracks. At least those were link-and-length. I have that same Fine Molds kit. I was impressed with the interior.

Hi Robert , thanks for the comments I'm pleased that you like it . The aerials are guitar string ( yep , the "G" string ) . with some plastic insulation off electrical wire at the bottom . I preshaded in black before painting with Tamiya olive drab . Then added a few drops of yellow to the mix and just did the big panels , its pretty subtle .
There was a post a couple of weeks ago and a link was added to some excellent photos of M41A3's in ARVN service , this really helped me to finish the build .

Winter seems to have slowed everyone, the posts have been slow coming in. I have some progress, black primer on my T-34 and now to dedcide on the correct color from my stash of paint. Then to stink up the house with oils for the some wash. Pictures later since my camera is napping.

too late to join in? would like to join in with the Academy 1:35 R.O.K. K1A1 OOB.
Not a fancy build at all, just a fun OOB build. I know it has some accuracy issues but oh well. Warming up my modern tank techniques to tackle an M1 !
cheers

Hi
The main building is done. I'm now starting to prime the various sub assemblies.
I've added a few more pic's to the Photobucket album.

Shaun, that is a nice photo spread. How long did the interior take you to complete, and are you planning to do a diorama to place the tank on?

Hi Robert
The build of the interior took about 2 weeks mainly waiting for the paint to dry ( cold in the shed). So many tiny little piece to add , like small etch wing nuts & pull rings to the vision ports & door releases. The build was pretty sraight forward. No real problems as the fit is very good. Any sink holes are hidden once you add further parts which is very handy .
The only filler I've used is on the hatches as they are all open the sink holes on these needed filling.
Because of all the open hatches I've hand painted it with a pale blue humbrol paint as my primer ( didn't fancy trying to mask such small areas).

Hi
Have just about finished painting the outside of the tankette.
Just need to do the inside of the engine hatches then it's ready to be weathered. Still havn't tackled the indy tracks.
Have added a load of pic's to my photobucket album.

Hey Shaun,
Your photo spread was great, I like the way you put the yellow over the white/gray.

Who wouldn't want a Hello Kitty ribbon?
This is Gary's ribbon and I thought that I would show it again for inspiration. I just posted it to the campaign page if anyone wants to look. I also know that everyone is business with life and other campaigns so here is a list of who enlisted.

I tried to post some pictures of my T34, but the desktop does recognize the connection. I guess that its time to break down the computer and upgrade it. How is everyone doing with their 1000 campaigns?

OK two months to go and I am looking to see how everyone is doing with their build. I am still trying to post pictures, guess a new computer is in order.
My T34 is a plain jane, just green with some weathering no figures (cant paint them). And the gallery is still down.
