I am curious if Fruilmodel's T-34 model 1940 tracks have the correct inner surface. Has anyone seen these tracks, or have easy access to them? From what I have read, and the original drawings I have seen, this style of track should be dished on the back side in the direction from front to back. I know the Modelkasten sets have this feature, and I wanted to see if the Fruilmodel tracks do as well. As a side note, the Dragon kit tracks do not.
Thanks,
Matt K.

Hi Matt!
While looking my Friul tracks and if I understand your question right, either what you mean with "dished" shape, in my eyes these look like, what you are looking for. On backside, edges are little bit higher than area between them. On middle of each piece, is area, which is in same level as edges and it goes from front to rear of each track.

Hello, and thanks for checking. It should be dished on each side of the back of the link as if it were cupped to hold the roadwheel tires. Looking at the toothed link face down on the ground with guide tooth up, you have a trough that runs parallel with the long side of the link. The trough is high at the front and rear of the link, were it is pinned to the next link, and lowest through the middle. The trough is interrupted by the guide tooth in the center. On the toothless link, it should have two separate dished pockets, one for each tire, separated by a flat section where the guide tooth would be on a toothed link. Does this make any sense? I make my living making drawings, and I'd love to make one to show you this, but I've got no place to host it to post it!

Thanks for checking! I'll go ahead and order a set for my current project then.
