Hi everybody!
I know that the current issue on the Armorama Campaign section is that there are too many campaigns and not enough people are completing their entries. That is why I'm suggesting a sequel to our largest campaign of all time: On the Eastern Front. This time, though, the models will be based on the battlefields west of Germany.
I have the support of endrju007 the leader of the previous campaign, so I would like this campaign to start on April 9th, 2010; the 70th anniversary of the German Blitzkrieg on Denmark and Norway, and the beginning of the war on the Western Front. The end date would be May 8th, 2011, the 66th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day
Here are the rules that I would like to set up:
1) Your entry must be based on the battles in the West. This includes the Blitzkriegs of 1940, the Battle of Britain, the Invasion of Sicily, the Italian Campaign, D-Day and beyond.
2) You can enter an armored vehicle, aircraft, figure, ship, or diorama.
3) You must have fun
Tell me if you're interested!

Hi guys, glad to hear that you're in!
@ casualmodeller: Don't worry too much about not having enough time, the campaign lasts for over a year
I was getting worried there for a while: no replies in over 12 hours! I hope that this campaign ends up as big as the original!

Yep, that long timeline is the keyword for me. IŽm so slow builder....

Zaltar,
Given the wide scope and generous timing how can I resist? There's just too much in the stash to pick one entry right now, but I'll narrow down the choices before April!

I'm in. You might also want to inform our buddies in aeroscale, since the campaign allows airplanes too.

Thanks everybody for showing interest, but I don't think that it will be enough for now. Not enough people are showing interest in this campaign to make a decent sized one, so I think that we should save the idea for another time.
Hopefully, a time will come that enough people want to join this campaign.

Hi Zaltar!
I think we shouldnŽt give up yet. Maybe you should make another inquiry during spring 2010, to get more ppl to join in. One reason for so few to sign in can be this holiday season, other active campaigns or that "Axis Armor" campaign, which will be going on almost same time all the campaign time ment for this one. But if this campaign is decided to be cancelled, I move my entry with Tamiya Pz. II over to Axis Armor....

Well, there seems to be renewed interest in the idea, I might just submit it if more people say they like it.
