Hi all, Time again for me to pick your brains over a little point that I'm having trouble clarifying I'm afraid.

I'm trying to work out if the T-90A uses rear mounted fuel drums?

The miniarm upgrade set instructions are very vague and ignore the point, although obviously on the T-72 instructions it's an important part of the build.

I've found some technical diagrams of the T-90 that include the rear fuel drums, and I've seen a photo of a T-90 that has the brackets for the fuel drums present (without the drums themselves). However on the majority of the T-90A reference photos I have they seem to be shown without the fuel drums.

So my questions are two fold:

firstly do later issue T-90 use fuel drums mounted on the rear?

secondly, if so is the tubing and piping to and from those drums the same as that shown on the T-72?

My T-90 reference book hasn't arrived yet... so at the moment I'm a little stumped...

I asked the same question a while ago. I've never seen a T-90 with the rear fuel drums and/or unditching log mounted, but It doesn't mean they can be fitted. Look at this picture:

The mounts for the fuel drums and the brackets for the log are there so they can be fitted. When I build a T-90 it will surely have the drums and log fitted, I think the Russian tanks look a lot better that way. Best regards.

José.

Thanks Jose! Much appreciated, I thought that might be the case.

I've seen some photos with the unditching log, and without fuel drums, and some with nothing at all.

I guess it really is down to our choice!

I will fit both items I think then to my T-90, as you say I think they look better on the tank than off!
