Hi Guys !
I'm about to start a Build log on the machine above using the following:
Miniarm, B35018 T-64A Turret m1972.
Skif T-64A kit No 202
Eduard 35203 T-64A PE for Skif Kit
Miniarm B35020 1/35 T-64 Workable track set for Skif
Reading other blogs and talking to other modellers, here is what I think needs to be done for starters:
The Miniarm Turret is awesome and is a great replacement for the kit Turret, as are the beautiful Miniarm tracks - so they'll do just fine.
The PE from Eduard is not very accurate and only a small % of the detail on the kit is really of much use ? Is this true ?
The Skif Hull is reasonable, but there is some work that needs to be done to the Front Upper Hull wave defector (use the Tamiya T-72 one ?), and the thickness of the side Gill Armour (as well as the attachment points) need some work to make them more accurate and correct 'scale wise'.
The kit wheels will need to do as there are no AM ones that are better.
How am I going so far ?
What else needs to be done to improve my project above ?
All feedback and suggestions are most welcome
Thanks in advance guys ,
Paul

Hi
Its a good choicethis model but I think that you have to wait for new hulls of sp designs that will be available on next january-february as T-64A hull is not the sdame as skif kit, the skif kit is a T-64B hull the differences are that T-64A has some tool boxes on the left fender where the T-64B has fuel cells, so wait a bit for the correct hull
regards

Paul,
Note that SP Designs will be releasing a T-64A upper hull in the near future. This might save you a lot of work. I plan a similar build but am waiting for my resin bits! I have one of the T-80 hulls and am pleased with the casting and value.

Thanks Raul, John,
much appreciated...
The feedback on this thread was that the Skif Hull on the 'A' wasn't too bad:
https://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/127934&page=1
It's a shame there's no SP Designs AM Hull at the moment
I'll have to wait I guess........... or start a T-64B (seeing I have those bits also...) but I really wanted to do the T-64A....
Any more tips please ?
Cheers
