Progress last night, back in town and with a couple of hours at the bench......
I got a first wash on, tires on the road wheels painted and some re-assembly done. Next is dusting with pigments or pastels (not sure, out of the appropriate colors of both)and small parts attachment. I'd like to find a couple of Israelis in better poses than the Academy Israeli tankers I have here, but they may be it.
Thanks for checking,
Edit: Also need to paint and weather the road wheel caps.....

Looks good! I got a few more small pieces to add to mine, some pin washes here and there, shooting a coat of flat on it, and I'm calling it done.

Looks like it is really coming together! I like your weathering. The one I am working on will be a little cleaner...baby steps for now. Got a couple of questions... What kind of gizmo is the slanted gear shift looking thing in front of the TC's cupola? Which sprockets did you use (Fruil?)? And lastly...don't you just love Trumpeter's poly caps? LOL

Trump's ply caps are weak, to be polite.
I don't know what the slanted gizmo thing is, the plastic part in the kit was a mis-shot., I think it's an aid to laying the gun, like on the Sherman.....
The sprockets are (ready?) Tamiya T62, I think. I know, no detail......but the Trump sprockets were HUGE.

That came out very nice. Can you post some more images? What are those things on the bottom of the front glacious plate?

I'm very close to finishing, I think....... and will have some more pics up soon, hopefully tomorrow. Thanks!
The clutter on the lower front glacis are the various mounts for engineer equipment, like blades, mine rollers, plows, etc, that the Russians installed. The Israelis left it all there, and in fact copied the system for use on the M60s and Merks.

I'm still having trouble with exposures and contrast, but a couple of the pics I took this morning came out OK. With the exception of crew figs, I think I'm done.
Thanks for checking in!

Looks fine, too.
The way you have the MG mount on the outboard side of the commander's hatch looks like it works better than the way I did mine.... I mounted mine based on pics in the Verlinden book. I'm going to assume that as is the case with a lot of Israeli stuff, there was some differences in the way things were done. However, after looking at the two, I think I'm going to move or delete the one on mine. It didn't make sense when I first put it on, and it's plain why now.

From some of the images I have seen, some of the earlier Tirans had the .50 on a pedestal mount like yours. Can't remember if those vehicles were equipped with the curved mount arm on the TC's cupola or not. IDF-in-Scale has alot of images throughout their Tiran posts. Those were my main source of reference. The cupola rotates (180' I think). I had the cupola facing forward, which had the .30 inboard, and it just didn't look right...so I rotated it to face the rear. Looks better to me.

Yes! Upon further detailed research (frantically fanning through the one book I have) I realized what's going on. I did find that the MG swivel arm I had mounted on mine was mounted to the turret roof (wrong) so rather than try and mount it it the cupola, as is correct, I deleted it and left the pedestal mount for the .50.
I really need to move on......
