Can we have a list of names of people who would be interested in this campaign?

Hi Des, if it's the second half of 2010 I'd give it a shot. That was one great book, a lot of ideas there. Tom

How about starting June 2010?

Do we need a minimum of 10 participants though?

This would give us plenty of opportunity to try to publicise the campaign and decide on what we're building. Not to mention the banner.

The interest in the campaign idea seemed to die off. If we can't get enough people to start an actual campaign then how about just having it as a straight forward forum post? Anyone wanting to have a go at making something from the book would be more than welcome to join in without the need to recruit a minimum number of participants, start/end dates etc. What are everyone's thoughts?

Happy modelling and lets try to get this Team Yankee advertised a little more, hopefully drum up some intereset.

Whichever way we do it I'm still in. Put me down for an Academy M113, possibly an ITV as well spent many a dust and mud season at Hohenfels (and Graf) and down range at Wildflecken riding around in a 113. Come on, guys let's get this one off the ground!

Hi guys,

I'm already building a Dragon M1A2 SEP that I had originally intended to use as Capt. Bannon's new ride but being the impatient person that I am, I've already started it. (it just kept staring at me whenever I walked into the room )

It will be good practice for building my next M1 which WILL be Capt. Bannon's new ride for this campaign.

I just tripped on to this thread, from the build log of "66", but it sounds like a great idea. I've got a couple M1s in the stash, so I'd be in with a start date in a month or so.....
It might even be a project to back-date the Acad M1A1 OIF that I got as a gift to an M1IP from the book.....that's about the best use for that particular kit I can think of.
BTW, I've read Team Yankee so many times, I started picking up copies in the used book stores because I wear them out.

Ed, "Team Yankee" is a great idea. It will get me out of the WWII rut I'm in (not that it's a bad thing) and try something a little more modern. So, hopefully I can find a used copy at the second hand bookstore this weekend. I need to refresh my memories of the story and come up with ideas. Tom

Hi Guys,

Interest seems to be picking up a little.

Opinions on a start date anyone?

Des do you think we have 8 ?

That's a Campaign

Perhaps we should ask for this to be added to the Campaign listing.

Before that happens perhaps write a synopsis of the Campaign and what needs to be done for a ribbon by participants.
