I'm using wire from manilla tags we use to tag parts at work
Here's what I've done so far:
Photo 1: I drilled out the antenna base that came with the kit.
Photo 2: used CE glue to glue it in place
Photos 3 and 4 - how it looks up close.
I've since put a bit more glue around the bottom of the wire to smooth it out and make acone. I'm also using nylon thread about 2 inches up to make tie downs an pull it into a nice arch as I've seen in period photos. I'll anchor those to the rear of the vehicle.
Here'e where some advice would be welcome -
1) what color for the antenna? I haven't primed them yet
2) where to actually anchor the tie down on the back?
3) any feedback regarding anything else you might see in the photos not necessarily related to the antennae
