Hello,

Can anybody tell me if the ANZAC forces used the Kangaroo in Italy?
If they did what was the unit?

Thank you.

HI

There is a site somewhere that details Kangaroo use in Italy. Try the "Sherman Register" for a start (sorry, I don't have the URL handy).

The main problem is the kit. The Italeri Kangaroo represents a vehicle that did not exist in WW2 as far as I've seen. It's the M7B1 Priest hull and running gear with some other stuff. The Kangaroos were either earlier Priests (3 piece nose, horizontal return roller arms, and not US figures!!!!!) or Ram tanks with the turrets removed. The kit builds up well, it's just not accurate. I'd love to see some documentation of a version like the Italeri kit in service, but I haven't yet.

Resicast makes a Ram Kangaroo, but again, I'm not sure if those made it to Italy.

Cheers
Andy
