Looks good and a nice amount of stowage. The hard part is making it look strapped on right.
Can I suggest, as it's an older version, a woodland camo scheme but weathered with sand?
Cheers,
Sean

Sean I was thinking along those lines and deciding on a tarp or cam net over the top?

Firstly, the vehicle was a concept/test vehicle by AM General and was not bought by the US Military with that top configuration. Alos, it has the pre-production front bumper with 4 holes. All production HMMWVs only have 3 holes in the front bumper. So painting it in any color would do. The test vehicle was painted 3-tone NATO camo though.
For the stowage, you should first sand/file the mold seam lines off of them. The line is unrealistic and makes them look pretty bad. For painting them, disregard what Tamiya has on the rear of the box directions. They hosed it all up. Check out this thread for correct gear colors.
Good luck on the rest.

It's really coming along. That Cam Net really looks good. Keep it up.
