Hello,
I finished this project last week and I know from comments that the guys and the luggage is not historical correct. So, that is wat I already know, but I'm also interested in what you think about this subject. This is the first time I tried to figure out the camouflage you see on the luggage and soldiers.

Thanks for the comments!
Cheers

Historically accurate or not I think you have made a first class attempt and I would be proud to display this model, weathering and overall finish is excellent.

Maybe another shot of clear flat. The luggage shows some excessive shine to it, but it could just be the flash on the camera.
Also... it appears the vehicle is moving through sand, but there are no track marks behind it.

just a couple of things, I don't think the kitbags are issued in camouflage and the kitbag at the back will be blocking the operation of the rear ramp, so you might want to move it to the top or side. Otherwise its a pretty good dio, well done. I really like the guy indicating targets for the 50 gunner.

Love the work and you SHOULD be proud. We are a community of let me add my 2 cents and as such....here I go . The 5 gallon can at the rear seems to be "floating" (meaning, no logical attachment to the vehicle). I think eduard has some Jerry can racks that you could fold, modify, and just place over it to fix the problem. Or some clever roping or strapping could get you there (probably better because of the access plate on the auxillary fuel tanks).
Just a observation.......who am I to say anything! It's been 4 or 5 long years since I've been here!!!!

Joh,
As above. Very good you should be very satisfied!
The stocks of the M16 rifles should be the same colour as the rest of the weapon (all the 'furniture' is a plasticy type stuff) and I'd tone down the silver of the tow rope and metal in the tool rack to a more steel like appearance.
Just a thought but I think the fuel sponsons were only present on the A3 variant APC (and some other types like the M901 and mortar carrier).

Nice small diorama. I really like the way the figures are interacting. Well done.

A good effert, but there are lots of accuracy issues here. Check out his post in the Armor Forum to see a run-down of what needs to be fixed to make it more historically and accurate and a correct M113A2.

Hello all,
Thanks for the comments and the tips and advices. I had shared the building part in another forum and what Gino pointed out, where the part that aren't historical correct.
But I'm happy with this model and for a next one I can use the information that's shared to build a more correct version. I do have the same kit and the M113A3 from Academy in stock.
Cheers Joh
