Hello every-one
I asked Mario for reference on the light conduits at the front of the tank and he came through for me with some help-full reference
cheers mario.....
Over-all look.....
The tank I'm making is the same one as some-one else is doing here , now I'm not copying but I'll say sorry any how.
Now I've had this one on the bench for a long time , the reason why is that I've got the armour track models tracks and they are taking me ages to make . So much so that I've started to paint using the kit tracks...
The commander figure probably has the wrong helmet but I'm sure i seen them using some-thing similar in my reference photos.
As I said earlier sorry if it seems I am copying but I been doing this one for ages , and just decided to get a move on with it.
More to follow
Cheers
John

I like the extra detail with the lights adds some individuality to the base manufacturers kit and a point of difference to similar builds.

Great job John! One nitpick about the non-slip, you should add some inside of the round spots (refueling points?) love the camo! How did you mask/paint the silver circle inside the wheels?

Here are a few shots if you're interested , still with the kit tracks .
Sorry about the photos , will take some better ones later.
I tried doing the mud by blasting a loaded brush of pigments and paint with an air-brush . Less was more on a new technique.
Took my time doing the optics , got a nice black out-line and washer-wiper.Not entirely correct but I like it.
I'm doing the tracks alongside the AAV7 , so will try to take some more photos when it's all done.
Thanks for looking , any comments welcome.
John.

great job John! love the details such as the lenses and the outlines on the optics - they really came out great. Nothing to complain about, great build. What happened to the commander figure?
