Brad, thanks for the comment! I'll see what I can do to eliminate the gap. Appreciate it!
Rick, the chains really do look good!

@ Eric - lot's of bits and pieces to glue there mate, keep the posts coming.
@ Michael - love those wading trunks, grear progress !
@ Alan - the Campaign started July 1, you're M32 (which is awesome) was started in April. So as per the earlier posts and Campaign rules it is not eligible for this Campaign. There is no harm in posting your progress here though. Perhaps you have another Shermie you can build ?
@ Jimmy - Welcome mate, comgrats on being the 100th to enlist too
@ Richard - love those chains, they look first class !
@ Everyone - great work and thanks for all the posts, we have 100 starters now - looking forward to many more
Cheers

Hi Paul,
No problem.
Al
Al I've given it some thought...
The issue will be fairness to other Enlistees, seeing you have had a head start.
It seems that the only assembly you have really done is the boggies, the other bits have simply had a bit of cleaning up - looking at your build log.
I'm prepared to give you the go ahead for this Campaign with the M32 if there are no objections from any other Campaigners.
Any thoughts on this guys ??
Cheers

I've just been searching through my stash and have re-discovered the Azimut Sherman Jumbo I bought a few years back. Any thoughts on it guys? Nobody seems to mention it and I have yet to see one built up, so it doesn't sound too promising

Paul,
I saw Al starting this M32 build, and I'd really love to see how it goes! I'd be happy to see him join us with this one.
Sadly, I've struggled to put glue to plastic these past couple of weeks, but will begin my own entries shortly...

I think Al's M32 would be great! Given that by now he's no further along than many of the rest of us, I don't think it's unfair at all!

Hello Gents!
I'm okay with allowing Al's M32, no problem for me. He's not that far along.
My M4A1 DV is coming along with the hull ready and aligned. The rest should be a breeze, judging from my previous experience with Formations.
Here's the hull:
And the first two bogies ready:
Next will be the exhaust system and the rest of the bogies.
Cheers!

I also have no problem with Al's choice of kit.
Here is some progress on my sherman firefly Carole - turret completed minus the machine gun, commander and rear communications reel. The latter will be added after painting since it overlies the tank number decal.
Any ideas on the radio box cover? The revised (Tasca) instructions for kit 35-011 suggest part K1 (top with bolts) or K32 (top with circular raised areas). The original instructions for kit 35-009 also suggest part K33 could be used.

Lots of action around here today!
FWIW, I'm fine with Al's build as part of the campaign as well.
Here are a couple of my in-progress shots:
Upper hull almost completely detailed and ready for primer. Rick I've decided to just go with what I've got for right now as far as details. I want to finish this thing, and if I start adding details, I'll never finish! I'll definitely get around to the uber-detailing as I get a little more familiar with armor.
Added sponsons (that's what they are, right?) to the upper hull. Not too hard...
Road wheels done for one side, and suspension parts (sorry, not up with all the terminology yet) primered. I have to work on one side at a time, with a distraction or two between, or the monotony kills me! Also, what do you think of the color of OD? It's a little yellow, but I suspect whenever the washes/filters come into play it won't be so yellow.
Turret in primer as well.
I'll be out of town working til the later part of the week, so I'll get back on this thing when I return...

@ Stefan - lovely work on the Formations conversion, that is a nice clean build. I love Rob's resin - it is fantastic !!
@ Andrew - nice progress mate, love the "Canvas add-on's" and the extras you've added. Really nice work !!
@ Justin - I was wondering whether you'd add the sponson covers ... nice !! Are they the Formations covers or did you scratch those ?
@ Ron - welcome mate ! We're up to 102 enlistees now
@ Al - sorry to mess you around with your M32, but you're "good to go". We've all seen your fantastic work, and it'll really be an honor to have you post here with that great project !!
I'm struggling with my IC Hybrid. I need to finish off the Camo on the LVT I'm doing for the Pacific Campaign, hopefully it won't be long.
BTW :That's another reason I prefer straight OD vehicles
Great work guys, some awesome builds here already, and we have a LONG Campaign ahead !!!
Cheers

Hi, Paul.
Those covers are scratch-built. I found a template over on the Archer Transfers website. I had to do a little doctoring, but in the end they fit fine.
I brought the Sherman on the road with me, and during my downtime I'll be able to prep the rest of the suspension for paint when I return home.
Also- anyone know of a good website with all this tank terminology on it? Bogie? What's a bogie?!

When I rereviewed your pics Justin I thought they may be scratched (because of the color). Your Shermie looks great !!
Good luck with your trip mate and happy modelling...
I had a major Shermie moment and purchased the Formations Jumbo oonverison today
Cheers
