Just wanted to know what you all think so far... does the color look right?

Maybe a tad too dark. It's hard to say with the lighting. Perhaps try taking pictures outside with more natural light?

I agree with Andrew. What paint and color did you use? The best match for modern CARC Sand, as on the Abrams, is Testors Model Master Sand, FS 33531. It is almost an exact match and looks great once weathered.
